Association Guidance

Social Networking Sites

Members are prohibited from commenting on any match decision and such comments could lead to them being referred to the SFA Compliance Officer for the consideration of a sanction.

SFA Guidance reminds members to keep any social network page PRIVATE.  When a person’s site is ‘open’, there is a security threat in regard to that individual.  It can be very easy for someone to use information to cause damage to that person.

Referees who disregard this guidance are liable to investigation by the Association / SFA Compliance Officer and possible disciplinary sanctions.  Members of our association have recently been fined by the Scottish FA for posts on Social Media.

Association Communications

Members should use the following lines of communication:

Craig MacKay (Association Manger)

  • Individual / Private Footballing Matters
